Hey guys!!

I want to start off again by saying thank you from the bottom of my heart to anyone and everyone who supported me financially or through prayer! I want to reiterate that it is because of your generosity and willingness along with God’s direction that I get to go on this incredible adventure – THANK YOU!

I have the huge privilege to be part of the O-Squad going down to Nicaragua and Guatemala in the coming weeks!! I could say that our family growth started off awkward but as an incredible blessing from God, it really didn’t! I have been so pleasantly surprised at how well (and fast) our squad came together. I could EASILY say that these will be some life long friendships! While we are the least athletic and quietest squad of the bunch (impressing people with our silent squad sign of course) we have SO much fun altogether!

We were so excited (hopefully you can hear my tone) to find out that we would be staying in hotels (community tents) and camping for the next two weeks until our squad heads out to Nicaragua on September 14th! I LOVE CAMPING don’t get me wrong, but two weeks?! Wow. We’ve still learned very little about what to expect for outreach and ministry in Nicaragua but we get more and more excited each day! We have, however, learned about our host and his heart for discipleship and ministering to missionaries! I would love if my friends and family could be lifting him and his wife up in prayers!

As for training I can say that things have started to get a bit smellier, the days have gotten a bit longer, and my sleeping pad has sounded a lot more appealing. Between the long sessions we sit through, the inspirational prayer time with our squad, and staying up late cackling because of Ella, I’m tired. BUT God is SO good and I can confidently say that I have already learned so much more about the holy spirit, worship, and community! I’m so excited to continue to grow in this new depth and experience the new things God has for me along the way!

Thank you all for covering me with your love and support! I miss you all BIG right now!!

Yours truly,

Em 🙂
